Risk Management
Configure stop losses, position sizing, and other risk controls.
Risk management is the foundation of profitable trading. No matter how good your entry signals are, poor risk management will destroy your account. The Visual Builder provides several blocks to help you manage risk effectively.
Stop Loss Options
- Fixed Percentage — Set a stop at a fixed % below entry (e.g., 2%)
- ATR-Based — Set a stop at a multiple of ATR for volatility-adjusted stops
- Support/Resistance — Place stops below key price levels
Take Profit Options
- Fixed Percentage — Close at a fixed profit target
- Risk Multiple — Take profit at a multiple of your stop distance (e.g., 2:1 risk-reward)
- Trailing Stop — Lock in profits as the trade moves in your favor
Position Sizing
Position sizing controls how much of your account you risk on each trade. Common approaches include fixed position size, percentage of account, and risk-based sizing (where you determine position size based on stop loss distance).
A common rule is to risk no more than 1-2% of your account on any single trade. This ensures that a losing streak won't wipe out your account.
