Once you're comfortable with basic prompts, these advanced techniques will help you build more sophisticated strategies.
Multi-Condition Entries
Combine multiple indicators for higher-quality signals: "Enter long only when RSI(14) is below 35 AND price is above the 200 SMA AND MACD histogram is turning positive. This ensures we're buying dips in an uptrend with momentum confirmation."
Conditional Risk Management
Use dynamic risk levels: "Set the stop loss at 1.5x ATR(14) below the entry price. Use a trailing stop that activates after 1% profit, trailing at 0.5%. Take profit at 3x ATR above entry."
Market Regime Filters
Add filters to only trade in favorable conditions: "Only take trades when the ADX(14) is above 25, indicating a trending market. Avoid trading when ADX is below 20."
Time-Based Filters
Limit trading to specific hours: "Only enter trades during the London and New York sessions (08:00-17:00 UTC). Close all positions before the end of the session."
Multi-Timeframe Analysis
Use higher timeframes for direction: "Check the daily chart for trend direction using the 50 SMA. On the 1-hour chart, enter in the direction of the daily trend when RSI gives a signal."
