Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them.

If you're experiencing issues with Tradient, start here. These are the most common problems and their solutions.

Strategy Issues

  • Strategy won't backtest — Check that all blocks are connected and the strategy has both entry and exit conditions
  • Backtest shows zero trades — Your conditions may be too restrictive. Try loosening the entry conditions or expanding the date range
  • Results look unrealistic — Check commission and slippage settings. Enable them if they're set to zero
  • AI Agent generates errors — Simplify your prompt and make sure it describes a clear, logical trading strategy

Broker Connection Issues

  • Connection failed — Verify your API keys are correct and haven't expired. Check that your broker account is active
  • Orders not executing — Check that your account has sufficient margin and the instrument is available for trading
  • Connection drops — This is usually temporary. Tradient automatically reconnects. If it persists, regenerate your API keys
  • Balance not updating — There may be a slight delay in balance updates. If it persists for more than 5 minutes, check your broker's platform directly

Account Issues

  • Can't log in — Use the password reset feature. If you have 2FA enabled, make sure you're using the correct code
  • Email notifications not arriving — Check your spam folder and verify your email address in Account Settings
  • Subscription not updating — Changes take effect at the next billing cycle. Contact support if there's a billing discrepancy
